The first meeting of the Vancouver Thunderbirds was held in the Playhouse of the Radio Station CKWX.

Bus Brown was the main organizer, coming from a chapter in Eastern Canada, with familiar names as Ross Relyea & Gord Cousins. Dave Stone & Don Soar joining shortly.
Mt. Baker chapter was the sponsoring chapter for T-Birds.

T-Birds have been the sponsoring chaptere for Victoria Chapteer, North Vancouver chapter, Langley chapter.

Past Directors - Bus brown, Pat Trudel, Gord Nanson, Ben Fast, Barry Shields, Al Hayward, Dave Smith, Bill Rennie, Doug Massie, George Cotton, David Cotton.

1988 was a traumatic date for T-Birds, we won 1st place @ Div. contest, beating our arch rivals New Westminster.
However, @ District contest in spokane on Oct. 1, our Director George Cotton collapsed on stage with a fatal heart attack.
David Cotton, George son, directed T-Birds till 1996.

Our present Director is Dave Vincent.

Within the T-Bird chorus over the years, many Qtets were formed, including District Champions MODEL T FOUR, 1955, HOWE SOUNDS, 1968, SONIC BOOM, 1990.
