    ​What is it?

    It's a fun-filled 5 week program of instruction that will teach you the basic skills needed by all singers.
    ​We'll cover:
    • ​Breathe control and posture
    • Creating resonance
    • Using your soft palate and vocal 'muscles'
    • Use of vowels and diphthongs
    • Use of dynamics and range extension
    ​Plus physical and vocal warmup techniques. Because we'll use a cappella music as our method you'll get a grounding in that musical style.

    ​Our focus is learning by doing and we've assembled a team of talented teachers to guide you.

    ​Who's it for?

    ​We use a cappella singing techniques and TTBB arrangements, so it is suitable for men and lower voiced women. You should also be able to match pitch. Beginners are welcome and even if you're an experienced singer we're sure you'll learn something new!

    ​Where?

    ​Classes are at St. Faith's Anglican Church at 57th Avenue and West Boulevard in Kerrisdale.

    ​5 Wednesdays starting September 18, 2019 through October 16.
